Buddhist Temple of Chicago

The Buddhist Temple of Chicago has made Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood home for over 70 years. In 2005 the Temple was redeveloped to accommodate a new, modern sanctuary while preserving one of the existing building structures.

Modern Sanctuary

Terra Consulting prepared final engineering drawings and calculations to construct a new Temple including utility services, driveway & sidewalk improvements to meet the ADA Codes and landscape Ordinance. A new parking lot was designed to meet the City’s stormwater requirements with surface detention.

Permits for this project were required by the City of Chicago Department of Transportation and the City of Chicago Building Department.
