Regional Business Analyst - Naperville, IL
Position Summary
eX² Technology is seeking a Regional Business Analyst to support the operational processes for telecommunications design-build and systems integration projects. As a Regional Business Analyst, you will work closely with Operations team to lead budgeting, forecasting and monthly close cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. You will collaborate with the Director of Operations and the Controller to provide actionable insights to support the decision-making process, ensuring effective communications across the teams.

Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare relevant financial schedules to provide insights into financial performance and variances against targets and to support monthly expense reporting and accrual submissions.
Set-up project and change order budgets in accounting system.
Ensure project-specific tax planning and reporting is completed accurately.
Manage annual budgeting efforts for projects.
Track project financial status, prepare reports and advise Project Managers, Senior Operations Staff and Accounting Department.
Support project teams with data analysis and required project reporting.
Provide monthly cost and revenue verification and reporting by project.
Work with Project Managers to complete cost and revenue forecasting within a defined monthly schedule.
Responsible for cost accounting for multiple projects, tracking and analyzing fixed and variable cost inputs to better monitor and report project status.
Assist in the invoicing and collections processes.
Recommend changes to processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit.
Reconcile project financial variances.
Support financial audits.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company financial practices.
Review and approve job-specific accounts payable.
Participate in regularly scheduled project status meetings.
Support safety and human resources reporting requirements.
Other duties as defined.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in in finance or accounting.
Experience
The ideal candidate has five years of accounting or financial analysis experience, ideally in the telecommunications, critical infrastructure or construction industries.
An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Must have detailed understanding of contractual requirements and the contracting process, including terms and conditions to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations as well as scopes of work and pricing concepts.
Strong leadership, communication and customer relation skills.
Detailed knowledge of operations accounting, budgeting, forecasting, contracts and financial reporting is required.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Ability to lead meetings.
Knowledge of budgeting and project schedules.
Knowledge of financial analytics and profit and loss implications.
Excellent persuasion, negotiation and judgement skills.
Demonstrated excellent people skills.
Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft office products, MS Project, databases and job costing systems.
Experience with Acumatica or other ERP system.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; use hand and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The incumbent may be required to walk on construction sites in rough terrain, and facilities under construction. The incumbent is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time. The incumbent may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. And occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent may split time between work in a semi-quiet office environment and on customer sites, where there is moderate to occasional great noise levels.
